Scot Amos, executive producer at EA studio Visceral, has joined the senior management team of Crystal Dynamics. Amos, who was executive producer on the Dead Space series, will build and head up a team to work on a new intellectual property for the company.
The Square Enix-owned Crystal Dynamics is best known for its work on the Tomb Raider franchise, though has previously been responsible for properties such as Legacy Of Kain and platformer Gex.
"We are thrilled to add Scot's 20 years of experience and over 25 shipped games worth of expertise as the cornerstone for our new venture," said Crystal Dynamics general manager, Darrell Gallagher. "His knowledge of building new IP, forging world-class teams, and shipping blockbuster games is a great infusion to our studio's on-going growth and talent base."
Amos’ previous career includes working on five titles in Maxis’ Sims franchise.
