EA's much-hyped new survival horror property Dead Space is ready for retail shelves, the publisher said Wednesday.
The game, developed by EA Redwood Shores, is set for an October 14 launch in North America for Xbox 360 and PS3, and October 20 for PC.
The title will hit Europe on October 20 for the three platforms.
Consumers who buy the Xbox 360 version game within the first two weeks of availability will be able to download for free an Xbox-themed "Elite Suit," while PS3 gamers will have access to a free PlayStation "Obsidian Suit."
The suits will not only look different, but be "tougher" and have more inventory slots, according to EA.
EA is also selling a "very limited run" of 1,000 Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition copies that includes the game and a plethora of collector content for $149.95.
The unabashedly M-rated Dead Space is a horror game whose gameplay mechanics revolve around "strategic dismemberment" of outerspace genetic freaks that have infiltrated a mining ship.
this is lame, how come the Ultra Limited Editions are only out in US?? There are gamers in Europe, you know! Maybe i'm just a stickler for special editions and tins, but is it only me who feels cheated by this??
