Publisher THQ has announced Destroy All Humans! 2, which is being developed by Pandemic for Xbox and PS2.
The sequel will be a sci-fi action game set in the sixties with new features, open-world gameplay and multiplayer co-op. The game will also boast a greater weapon arsenal to use against a wide variety of enemies, including perhaps the most feared foes, ninja warriors.
"We are pulling out all the stops for the sequel, adding multiplayer co-op, five new open-worlds to explore and the same irreverent humor that was a hallmark of the first Destroy All Humans! game," said Pandemic president Josh Resnick. "With the new 60s era setting, we have plenty of new material to work with -- from Hippies and British spy movies to Japanese monster flicks."
The game is expected to hit shelves this fall.
