Nintendo’s DSi continued to dominate hardware sales in Japan during the week ended July 19.
While weekly sales fell by around 20,000 units, the system still managed to sell four times as many units as its nearest rival, PSP.
Weekly PSP, Wii, DS Lite, PS2 and Xbox 360 sales fell marginally, with Microsoft’s console dropping to the bottom of the rankings.
Overall sales totaled 166,894 units, down from 193,964 the previous week.
DSi - 96,986
PSP - 24,053
Wii - 20,807
DS Lite - 9,932
PS3 - 8,865
PS2 - 3,352
Xbox 360 - 2,899
Speaking as a Nintendo fan - I said 'fan' not 'fanboy' - I'm amazed that the DSi has sold such huge numbers.
