Nintendo has sold a million DSis in Europe since the system released on April 3.

The milestone was reached in just eight weeks, five quicker than the DS Lite managed, the company said.

During the past eight weeks almost 500,000 Nintendo DS units have also been sold, it added, presumably referring to combined sales of older DS models combined.
