Nintendo’s DSi LL continued to lead Japanese hardware sales during the week ended November 29.

Sales of the new handheld declined by around a third week-on-week, but it still managed to comfortably outsell its nearest rival.

Wii jumped to second place, marginally outselling PS3, while PSP edged out DSi.

DS Lite sales continued to impress considering the relative age of the model. In contrast, sales of the recently released PSPgo continued to underwhelm, while Xbox 360 and PS2 rounded off the hardware chart.

Level 5’s Professor Layton And The Flute Of Malevolent Destiny debuted atop the Japanese software chart during the week in question.

Weekly hardware totals (previous week):

DSi LL - 67,243 (100,553)
Wii – 46,673 (32,844)
PS3 – 46,558 (34,752)
PSP – 38,839 (32,752)
DSi – 37,021 (32,070)
DS Lite – 7,268 (5,051)
PSPgo – 3,809 (4,574)
Xbox 360 – 3,685 (4,085)
PS2 – 2,057 (2,024)

Will any of the Edge Online readers be buying the DSi XL when it's released in Europe?

Depends on the price, I imagine it'll come at a slight premium over the basic DSi so unless my eyesight gets worse in a hurry I can't see the need to spend extra on a similar machine. Thats why I didn't upgrade my DS Lite to a DSi in the first place.
