E3 2012: Ubisoft reveals Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Ubisoft has announced Splinter Cell: Blacklist at E3 2012 - though screenshots were leaked a little earlier this evening.
The game is set on the Iraq/Iran border and sees Sam Fisher hunting members of the titular Blacklist, a terrorist group escalating attacks on US soil and demanding the withdrawal of troops from their respective countries.
Demoed live on stage, the game's "Killing in motion" mechanic was shown as Fisher moved smoothly through groups of enemies dispatching each as a moment of slow motion afforded time to line up the next target.
Kinect mic intergration also features, with the player able to call out to enemies to get their attention. A nice touch.
Described as "the most ambitious Splinter Cell yet", Blacklist features both co-op and spies vs mercenaries modes along with its singleplater campaign.
The game is scheduled to ship spring 2013.
