Ubisoft revealed its persistent, openworld racer The Crew for the first time at its E3 conference today.
Developed by Ivory Tower and Reflections, Ubisoft claimed that it takes place in the biggest openworld ever made, taking in all of the United States.
Creative director Julian Gerighty took to the stage to describe the game as an open playground which blurs the line between single and multiplayer. Players will seek to infiltrate a criminal organisation one city at a time, playing alone or, preferably, collaborating with up to four friends.
The game appears to be split between a free drive mode and missions, and you can also customise the cars in the game through a companion app.
