EA CEO John Riccitiello has said that publishers could charge premium prices for well supported 3D games.
"3D may well be one of the next and most important drivers for growth. [That's] yet to be seen and I don't think it's a 2010 story in any way, shape or form... in a meaningful way,” the executive said at an E3 event this morning, according to CVG.
"But as we move through 2011, 2012, it’s likely to be an opportunity both for additional growth and perhaps premium pricing for titles that better support 3D," Riccitiello added.
EA said earlier this week that Crytek developed Crysis 2, which is set to be released under the EA Partners label, will be playable in stereoscopic 3D later this year.
