The initial announcement of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’s November 16 US release date (with a tentative Christmas release for other territories) was chased up by some surprises at the French publisher's conference.
There was the debut of Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s latest, Child of Eden, the unveiling of Driver: San Francisco and the first gameplay demonstration of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Project Dust, a digitally distributed title from Another World creator Eric Chahi, and a new 2D Rayman game (also DLC) were shown along with the announcement of Kinect and Move compatible dance game Michael Jackson: Just Dance, slated for a Christmas release.
For the PC faithful, there was ManiaPlanet, tipped as an entirely original platform in itself. The title gives it away, with contributions initially coming from TrackMania dev Nadeo in the form of a fresh entry in the popular series. ShootMania and QuestMania were added to the agenda, with avenues for user-created content and sharing.
Debuts for Innergy, a peripheral-based title that works in relation with the user’s pulse (though platforms remain undisclosed), and Battle Tag (due in Autumn), a variant of traditional Laser Tag (or Sega’s Lock-On, for the nostalgic), rounded out the presentation.
