38 Studios, the dev house founded by Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, has hired on two more experienced game vets to work on an upcoming MMORPG.
Composer and sound designer Aubrey Hodges will be joining the studio from Madden house EA Tiburon, where he was an audio director for five years. He has been previously employed by Midway Games and Sierra Online, and has been credited on titles including King's Quest, Space Quest, Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist, Madden NFL and NFL Blitz.
Irena Pereira joins 38 Studios as senior UI designer from Blizzard Entertainment. According to a press statement, she worked for two years on the interface design for World of Warcraft and its expansions The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.
Aside from games, Pereira has also worked on web and interface design for online companies.
38 Studios also recently hired former lead designer for EverQuest, Travis "Rashere" McGeathy. 38 Studios is currently working on an original fantasy MMO codenamed "Copernicus."
