Chief Creative Director Richard Hilleman will deliver speech about how new ways of playing videogames are creating new audiences.

His talk will lead Unite 2009, a conference dedicated to the increasingly popular 3D engine for browsers and iPhone that will take place October 27-30 in San Francisco.

Hilleman is a long-time EA employee who worked on the original Madden game and was instrumental to establishing the EA Sports label.

Attendees to the conference will also learn about plans for Unity’s future and take classes and tutorials in its use. The event will this year also feature a one-day free ‘boot camp’ to encourage Flash users to move to Unity’s platform.

Conference sessions will include talks on integrating social networks in games, a post-mortem from developer Three Melons on the browser-based Lego Star Wars: Quest For R2 and about how to make money with iPhone games.
