Organisers have announced the venue and first round of speakers for the annual Edinburgh Interactive festival, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Eidos life president Ian Livingstone is marking an anniversary of his own this year; his first Fighting Fantasy book, The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain, will be 30 years old in August. He'll discuss his new interactive novel, Blood Of The Zombies, and will also chair a skills and education panel.
Kyoko Matsushita, european business development and developer relations lead for Japanese mobile gaming company Gree, will join Flurry's European MD Richard Firminger, Cloudmade VP Christian O Petersen and Tapjoy's Paul Bowen in a roundtable, Getting Above The Noise. The four will discuss the role of their global networks in entertainment and monetisation.
The festival will also play host to a free public day featuring BAFTA's Young Game Designers workshop, and Playniac's Rob Davis, who will play through Cat On Yer Head, his "game about game design."
Edinburgh Interactive runs on August 9 and 10, with the free public day on August 11, all at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Tickets cost £229 plus VAT; Early Bird tickets are available for £175 plus VAT until March 31. For more, follow the source link below.
