The Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association‭ (‬ELSPA‭) ‬has appointed Michael Rawlinson as director general.

Rawlinson will replace former director general Paul Jackson,‭ ‬who steps down from the position though will still be at ELSPA working in an advisory capacity.

Rawlinson has worked with ELSPA for a decade and had attained the position of managing director.‭ ‬He is also on the executive board of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety as a representative of the games industry.

‭"‬We greatly thank Paul for his dedication and commitment over the past two and a half years,‭ ‬establishing ELSPA as a key conduit between the video games industry and the UK Government,‭" ‬says ELSPA chairman Andy Payne.‭

"Whilst we are losing Paul on an operational basis,‭ ‬we are fortunate that he will continue to support ELSPA in his new role.‭ ‬Michael has excelled under Paul's leadership and is now absolutely ready to take the role as director general and lead ELSPA into the future.‭"
