The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced that the next E3 Expo will take place from June 15-17, 2010, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The ESA said that more than 41,000 people attended E3 2009, which featured 216 exhibitors.
“We are pleased that this year’s E3 Expo was so successful for our members and exhibitors in terms of sales, business development and profile-building,” said ESA president Michael Gallagher. “E3 Expo is truly the world stage and spotlight that the interactive entertainment industry has earned as a leader in entertainment.”
A number of high profile industry figures also praised the event. EA CEO John Riccitiello labelled it “a great show [that] reflected the vitality, innovation and global presence of a rapidly growing industry,” while Microsoft’s Don Mattrick said that the company “was pleased to be a part of a rejuvenated E3 this year and to see the interactive entertainment industry really shine and reach new audiences.”
