Ex-Lionhead employees have announced the formation of Guildford, UK-based development studio Wonderland Software.
The studio was set up in the summer of 2009 by Matthew Wiggins and Mark Rose, who were more recently joined by Al Harding.
“We’ve been working together for many enjoyable years at Lionhead on game series such as Fable and Black & White, and decided the time was right for us to break out on our own,” the studio says on its website.
“Wonderland is a scrappy startup, aiming towards a big future. Our games will be full of charm & wonder, with social interaction at their core. Initially targeting the iPhone and iPod Touch, we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
The company is currently applying the “finishing touches” to its debut title, GodFinger, to be published by ngmoco.
