Former members of Transmission Games have established Trickstar Games, a new development studio based in Melbourne, Australia.
“Trickstar Games is Australia’s newest, but most experienced games development studio… a core assembly of some of the greatest development talent in the country,” the company said on its website.
“The Trickstar team’s long history of working together, developing and delivering successful titles has ensured a strong bond within the studio. The team has established a solid production pipeline and have made quality the foundation of the studio.”
The firm added that it currently has “a number of exciting new games in production” and is in the process of staffing up.
Founded in 1996 and responsible for Ubisoft’s Heroes Over Europe and Codemasters’ Ashes Cricket 2009, Transmission Games closed its doors in late 2009 following financial troubles.
