Final Fantasy VII has been downloaded over 100,000 times since launching on the PlayStation Network two weeks ago.
That makes the classic Square Enix RPG, which is now playable on PS3 and PSP, the fastest selling downloadable PSone title on the PlayStation Network, according to Sony Computer Entertainment America.
The company also said that the PSN currently has 25 million registered users and that over 500 million pieces of content have been downloaded to date worldwide. The service now houses 200 games, demos and trailers, 1,900 movies and 9,000 television shows.

Tobal no. 2... This never came out in PAL territories so I would like this on the PSN.
Own this on disk, however the rest of the PS1 ff series has not been so fortunate. Anyone know of any rumours for the rest of the series coming to PSN, that would be epic having episodes 1-9 on PSN. Put Tombi and Vagrant Story on there and PS1 downloadable titles would be the next big thing for PSN, playing FF1, 2, 3 etc would be like pokemon for PSP, kids will go nuts for it. I kinda wanna get a PSP now just in case they do release the other titles, this is definitely the kinda game I want to play on PSP. Something I know is awesome and I've played it before, but also has enough repetitive, mindless grinding action so you can just zone out and chill when you're busing home or whatever.
Call me a muppet if you will, I already had it on disk but bought it anyway out of solidarity... :P
Best Game Ever.
Best £7 ever...
