Football Manager 2010 has debuted atop the UK all formats chart during the week ended October 31.
The latest edition to the football franchise held off competition from Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus, which entered in second place.
FIFA 10 was a non-mover at number three, ahead of Forza Motorsport 3 and last week’s bestseller, PES 2010.
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City entered at number six, Mario & Sonic At The Winter Olympic Games slipped three places to seventh, while Tekken 6 debuted in eighth place.
Borderlands fell two places to ninth and Wii Sports Resort rounded off the top ten.
The only other new release to make the top 40 was DJ Hero, which charted at 20. While it represents a slow start for the new IP, it probably won't come as a surprise to publisher Activision, which said recently that it wasn't anticipating a traditional sales curve for the title.
