Australia's Auran Games announced Tuesday that it will finally be shutting down the servers for the embattled player vs. player PC online game, Fury.

"We have reached our time limit to find a solution that would help us keep the Fury servers open," stated Auran CEO Tony Hilliam on the game's official forums.

"Sadly, no solution has been found and so we have no alternative than to shut the servers down in 48 hours."

The company tried to salvage what it could from Fury by announcing a new business model last year, but that strategy couldn't save the game.

The game launched in October last year to poor reviews and slow sales, leading Auran to cut jobs then enter into administration last year.

"...We need to be much better than the competition to have a chance of succeeding. We gave it everything we had and history now judges that it still wasn’t good enough," added Hilliam.
