Game Group clarifies how customers will be affected by adminstration

Game Group has issued a statement to customers via its Facebook page regarding changes to the business as a result of the company entering administration this morning.

Confirming that Game will continue to trade while administrator PwC attempts to find a buyer, the retailer has warned that many of its services have been altered or suspended.

Chief among these changes are the suspension of GAMEWallet funds, gift cards and reward cards. Points can still be earned on rewards cards, but cannot be redeemed until further notice.

Online sales are likely to be disrupted over the coming days, while refunds and exchanges are also suspended on products bought before or after the company entered administration today.

While Game stores will not accept pre-owned hardware for the time being, it's still possible to trade in games against others and accrue reward points doing so. Exchanges for cash, however, are no longer possible.

Finally, no pre-orders can be placed from today onwards while Game's Click and Collect service has also been suspended.
