Acclaimed God of War composer Cris Velasco has delivered a “haunting” orchestral score for Clive Barker’s upcoming action-horror game Jericho.

Velasco composed the music for both God of War and God of War II, and also scored the trailer for StarCraft 2 with fellow composer Sascha Dikiciyan.

The musician has won numerous awards, including “Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition" from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, G.A.N.G.’s “Music of the Year” award and recognition from consumer videogame sites.

He has also written music for Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, among others.

Clive Barker apparently hand-picked Velasco for the job.

The squad-based FPS Jericho is slated for late October this year.
