"I like that it’s become very small, and the contrast and colour of the screen has improved over PSP 3000," he tells us before claiming that there's no other racer on PSP that comes close to Gran Turismo's quality. "There isn’t a game on there that’s up to par with any sort of racing game. I don’t think there are any competitors."
Keen to emphasise the attention his studio, Polyphony Digital, is lavishing on the download-only GT PSP, Yamauchi says that at times his entire team has been working on it. The studio is also producing the overdue Gran Turismo 5, but Yamauchi suggests that it's already more or less complete: "We could put it out at any time, or we could carry on working on it. There’s always something to polish."
