Grasshopper And Digital Reality Join Forces

The No More Heroes developer announces new PSN/XBLA game Sine Mora.

The Killer 7 developer partners with Hungarian studio to create a range of digitally-distributed titles.

Killer 7 and No More Heroes developer Grasshopper Manufacture and Hungarian studio Digital Reality have announced a co-development partnership. The union will focus on digitally-distributed games.

The first jointly-developed title will be Sine Mora which mixes "traditional side-scrolling gameplay with unique time manipulation mechanics". Sine Mora will utilise 3D display and will be released on PSN and XBLA. It will head up a range of games planned by the partnership.

"We think we can strongly benefit from having an ally such as Digital Reality in the digital publishing realm, who can provide long term online publishing services to its partners, and to gamers," says Grasshopper CEO Suda 51.

Digital Reality, which was founded in 1991 under the name Anmesty Design, has a development history stretching back to the Commodore Amiga and currently focusses on mobile titles.

“The partnership with GhM is an important step for Digital Reality," says Digital Reality CEO Andras Peller. "This collaboration with a Japanese top-tier developer pursues the development of our publishing line-up, whilst offering creative freedom to developers who want to make high value titles for online distribution.”
