EA's current year fiscal results will take a hit after the launch of its latest Harry Potter game, The Half-Blood Prince, was pushed back from November 2008 until the summer of 2009.

The company decided to postpone the game’s release to tie in with the delayed launch of Warner Bros. Pictures' film of the same name.

EA confirmed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it had been expecting the Bright Light Studio developed game, which is due for release on nine platforms, to contribute approximately $120 million in net revenue to its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2009. The company will now be hoping to generate much of that cash in the following business year.
