The third Humble Indie Bundle, titled Humble Frozenbyte Bundle. will launch later today at 17:30 GMT (9:30 PST), and consists entirely of games from Helsinki-based Trine developer, Frozenbyte.
Trine, Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds Survivor will all feature in PC, Mac and Linux flavours, while a pre-order of new physics puzzler Splot is also included (those who buy the bundle will receive the game for free when it is released later this year). Most interesting is the fifth inclusion: an unfinished title called Jack Claw, one of Frozenbyte’s early projects which the studio worked on between 2006 and 2008 but failed to find a publisher for.
The developer is releasing the source code for Jack Claw, and will crowd-source the project's completion, before making the game – a 3D action adventure with a destructible environment and robotic claw-wielding protagonist – available at no cost to everyone who helped.
Proceeds raised in the sale of the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle, which also includes the soundtracks for Trine and the two Shadowgrounds titles, will go to two featured charities: the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child’s Play.
The bundle will be available for 15 days, and as with the previous two bundles, will allow players to pay what they choose.
