Twenty-eight year game industry vet Howard Phillips is now studio director for Utah-based Undertow (pictured) developer Chair Entertainment.
Phillips' career began at Nintendo of America. He started there as a warehouse manager in 1981 and worked his way up to director of game creative and “gamemaster” in 1991. He also co-created Nintendo Power magazine and was behind the "Howard and Nester" comics.
Phillips also worked at Microsoft for 10 years until 2006, working within the interactive entertainment business. Prior to that he served at Splash Studios, Absolute Entertainment, THQ and LucasFilm Games.
At Chair, Phillips will work to expand the studio alongside Chair development leads, Donald and Geremy Mustard, as well as Chair parent and Gears of War house Epic Games.
OH Howard and Nester. Even as a 9 year old, you still weren't funny.
