Former Sony, EA, Sega and Atari employees have announced the formation of Judobaby, a new family-friendly game development studio based in Redwood City, California.
The company is headed up by president and CEO Dan Mueller, a 15-year industry veteran formerly of Sony, who has worked on The Mark Of Kri and ATV: Off Road Fury.
CTO Richard Anderson is a 15-year programming veteran of Sony, Sega and other game development companies, while Ben Harrison, formerly a game artist on the Tomb Raider series, has taken the position of art director.
Focusing on titles for Wii “and other popular gaming platforms”, Judobaby’s first project is “nearing completion” after a year in stealth development.
"Judobaby is committed to creating a line of fun, humorous, 'pick-up & play' products to entertain the entire family," said Mueller. "Our focus is on providing top quality entertainment that brings the whole family together through gaming experiences that have yet to be offered."
