Infinity Ward is currently at work on the direct follow-up to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, according to a Twitter post by community manager Robert Bowling.
The entry, dated February 4, reads: "Reviewing some radio-chatter [voice-over] we just finished recording for Modern Warfare 2 today. ‘Cujo Two-One this is Vulture, solid copy on all.’"
Infinity Ward parent Activision is staying quiet on the matter, but a spiritual follow-up to the multi-million selling 2007 shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is practically a certainty.
The latest Call of Duty game was Call of Duty: World at War from developer Treyarch, which has been releasing a Call of Duty game every other year, alternating with Infinity Ward-developed series entries.
