Intel has reported that its full-year revenue reached $54 billion, of which $12.9 billion represented net income - a 24 per cent year-on-year growth.
In the fourth quarter of 2011, the technology company posted $13.9 billion in revenue and a net income of $3.4 billion, while non GAAP and GAAP results rose 24 per cent year on year.
This was despite plummeting sales of its low-voltage Atom processor which dropped 57 per cent to $167 million.
“2011 was an exceptional year for Intel,” said Intel president Paul Otellini.
“With outstanding execution the company performed superbly, growing revenue by more than $10 billion and eclipsing all annual revenue and earnings records."
