Interactive Achievement Awards on TV

Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences inks agreement with Independent Film Channel.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences said Wednesday that it will be televising its annual Interactive Achievement Awards for the first time in an agreement with the Independent Film Channel.

Now in its 12th year, the IAA ceremony will take place on February 19 during the DICE Summit in Las Vegas. However, the event won't hit airwaves until April as a half hour special.

The IAAs are presented via an industry peer-based voting system. This year, Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet leads with 10 nominations.
