Irem has cancelled Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories in the wake of Friday’s Tohoku earthquake and resulting tsunami.
Andriasang reports that Irem released a brief statement confirming the game’s cancellation, neglecting to provide a reason but apologising to fans and those who had worked on the game.
Disaster Report 4 was to be the first PlayStation 3 release for the series, following two PlayStation 2 titles and a PSP release. The game begins with a major earthquake in a big city, so its cancellation is entirely understandable given recent events.
The game was due for release in Japan this spring.
