Japan Awaits 360 Video Marketplace

Microsoft will deliver the service to Japanese 360 owners.

Continuing the 360’s push for a larger presence in the East, Microsoft will soon be launching the Video Marketplace across Japan.

The Xbox Live Video Marketplace has been available in the US for close to two years, with the service quickly migrating to Canada and parts of Europe. Now, following successive weeks of comparatively-triumphant hardware sales in Japan, Microsoft will hope to draw in new audiences in 2009 as it opens up the service to Live subscribers, according to Famitsu.

Specific titles, official launch dates and exact details of the service have yet to be announced.
