Japan: Pokemon Platinum Retains Top Spot

DS titles took four of the top five spots on the Japanese software chart during the week ended September 21.

Pokemon Platinum led the way, passing the million units sold mark in the process, followed by Dragonball DS, a new entry from Namco Bandai, and former bestseller Rhythm Heaven Gold.

Namco Bandai’s Trusty Bell for PS3 was new at No4, while Konami’s Quiz Magic Academy fell three places to No5.

Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii and One Piece Unlimited Cruise: Episode 1 held onto top ten spots, while Marvelous’ Hitman Reborn and Spike’s Shinobido, both for PSP, were new entries in seventh and eighth respectively.

Overall top ten sales were down on the previous week’s figures.
