But DSi retains top placing in Japanese weekly hardware sales chart for the week ending October 4.
That said, DSi’s sales figures were down 1,000 while PSP enjoyed 34,000 more sales compared to last week’s figures. It’s hardly a surprise, with PSP-3000 taking a 15 per cent price cut in the region on October 1.
Wii sales, meanwhile, took a 24,000 rise on last week, no doubt down to new release Wii Fit Plus and a price drop of its own, and PS3 sales were down a little over 2,000, according to Media Create’s data.

In terms of software, last week was all about new entries, with six of the top ten being new releases.
The top slot was comfortably filled by Wii Fit Plus, which sold 340,000 copies in its first week of availability, 60,000 more than second place fellow new entrant DS sports RPG Inazuma Eleven 2.
Microsoft’s Halo 3: ODST, which debuted at nine last week dropped to 29 this week.

It's nice to see the PS3 selling well again. For the past 3 weeks it's numbers has been steady.
It really shows how the price was a major barrier to entry previously before the drop.
