Japanese Wii sales jumped significantly during the week ended December 13, ensuring the console continued to comfortably outpace its nearest rival.
Having doubled to 100,000 units the previous week, Wii sales leapt a further 35,000 units to 135,000. Sales of its closest competitor, PS3, were up a healthy 25,000 units to 75,000. Last week Famitsu publisher Enterbrain pegged Japanese lifetime sales of the two systems at nine million and four million units respectively.
DSi recorded a weekly sales increase of over 20,000 units, while Xbox 360 sales more than doubled to over 10,000 units.

On the software front, New Super Mario Bros. Wii continued to lead the chart, selling three times as many copies as Tales Of Graces, which was a new entry at number two.
The PS3 version of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, published by Square Enix in Japan, debuted in fourth place with 93,000 sales.
