The highly-anticpated PS3 exclusive first-person shooter Killzone 2 will be released on February 27, 2009 in the U.S., X-Play has revealed.
The sequel is in development by Sony-owned Guerilla Games, and arrives just one month before the end of Sony's fiscal year.
The original Killzone released in 2004 for PS2.
Personally, FPS's need to be exceptional before i'd even consider buying them i.e. Left 4 Dead, Bioshock, Deus Ex, COD 4, Half-Life 2 (all on PC of course). I'm extremely excited about Killzone 2 though and can't wait to play it.
I hope your being sarcastic Akira those were all great games that sold very well
The game looks stunning no doubt. Shame the colour palate seems to be limited to browns and grays, though hopefully theres a bit more variation than we've seen in the videos so far.
One things that does concern me is the A.I. which again in the videos looks a bit basic. Still theres a lot more to see yet.
i do hope this game lives up to its potential, aswell as pushing the benchmark for PS3 graphics.
im still in search of that defining fps for the ps3, so im rooting for ya guerilla boys, dont let me down!

This game is going to be special. Preordering as soon as it's listed on Play. Roll on February!
if this game plays as good as it looks then i just might have to buy a ps3. we might finally be looking at the ps3's first killer app.
First killer app? because Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resistance 2 were pretty average games that sold poorly... yeah, you're right.
lol
learn to read, first off. specifically, learn what the term 'killer app' means, not what you want it to mean.
Huh, I thought this date had already been confirmed a few months back.
Nope. It was always just February with no specific date attached.
