Konami said Monday that it will continue to use Atari Australia as its distribution partner, following the demise of potential distributor Red Ant.
Konami said in a statement to MCV, "...With immediate effect ... [Konami] will continue its relationship with Atari Australia, a subsidiary of Infogrames Entertainment."
Red Ant was to begin distributing Konami titles in 2009, but the distributor went into administration last week. The publisher had been using Atari Australia for distribution for a number of years.
A number of companies used Red Ant for Australian distribution, including Capcom and Konami, both of which have assured that their game releases will not be affected in the region.
