Konami Strikes Publishing Deal for Saw

Publisher reportedly set to launch the game this fall in-line with the sixth release of the movie franchise.

Konami has picked up the rights to publish a game based on the Saw IP after its previous holder,? ?Brash entertainment,? ?went out of business.?

Florida-based Brash? ?began to make staff cuts? ?back in November,? ?citing? ?“the tough economic landscape?”?.? ?Soon after,? ?entertainment news site? ?Variety reported that the company had closed its doors entirely,? ?which reverted the Saw game rights back to Lionsgate.

Variety is now? ?suggesting that the franchise has been picked up by Konami,? ?with the game set for a? “?fall?” ?release for PC,? ?Xbox? ?360? ?and PS3.? ?The game’s release is hoped to be in-line with box office launch of the sixth edition of the movie series.?
