The Korean Champions League team has won the League of Legends All-Star tournament held in Shanghai this weekend. The squad defeated China LPL team 2-0 in a best of three match.
Winning the All-Star tournament, which marks the midpoint in the League of Legends Championship Series’ third season, awards the Korean Champions league a third team position in the World Championships. The other regions – Southeast Asia, China, North America, and Europe – will each have two entrants in the tournament.
The All-Star teams were comprised of players voted in by fans from each region.
The European team was knocked out in the quarterfinals by the North American team, who were in turn defeated by the Koreans in the semis.
