According to a report on PS3 Fanboy, Sony is planning to enable gamers to charge cash for user-generated LittleBigPlanet content.
"What we're trying to do with LittleBigPlanet is almost iTunes meets eBay in the sense that once an individual or a developer has qualified by producing certain levels or certain add-ons, they will then be able in the future to exchange these and make money out of them," Reeves told the site.
"Even if you charge less than one euro, it doesn't take many downloads if you've got a really strong LittleBigPlanet level for people to be able to make money. It's a great way for people to show others what they can do," he added.
LittleBigPlanet is due for release on PS3 this October. Head over to our recent keynote by Media Molecule creative director Mark Healey to get the inside story on the game’s development.
People aren’t being forced to charge for their creations. They have a choice. If someone creates something good enough to make money out of it – then all the power to them. But if it sucks, or it's too expensive, no one is going to pay for it and they just wasted their time and effort for nothing. It's a double-edged sword. IMO, most people with a respect for games wouldn’t want to charge anyway since they would want as many people as possible to be able to play it. I don’t really think this is going to be an issue.
I seriously hope this doesn't happen ..
Hell yeah quitting my job when this comes out ill be the first LBP millionaire IM RICH BITCH
