Eskil Steenberg

, the man behind PC MMOG Love, has been enlisted by fellow Swede, Markus Persson (aka Notch) to work on improving Minecraft's graphics. Speaking to Eurogamer, Steenberg revealed that Persson has asked for his help.

"I'm probably gonna help him with some graphic stuff," he said. "He actually asked me to help him with some stuff... It's array buffer objects!

"In order to do graphics fast you want to store your geometry on the graphics card instead of the main memory. But there are some tricks on how to do that fast because drivers are picky about how you do it. So you need to be smart about it."

Love was released before Minecraft, but while the two games share similarities, Love has so far not enjoyed the same level of success that Persson's game has.

Minecraft was our indie game of the year in this year's Edge Awards. Minecraft also recently reached one million sales, despite still being in beta.
