Video streaming service Lovefilm has responded to the launch of rival service Netflix by reducing its subscription costs.
As we reported this morning, Netflix is now available on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii - as well as tablets, smartphones, PCs and smart TVs - in the UK and Ireland for £5.99 a month, the same Lovefilm charges.
However, MCV reports that Lovefilm has moved to prevent Netflix gaining too much of a foothold by reducing its monthly fee to £4.99.

1Looking on the LoveFilm site their £5.99 package has 2 hours of streaming and 3 postal rentals. What possible use is that? I've used more than two hours on Netflix already today.
To get unlimited streaming you have to move up to £9.99pm.
I can't see a streaming only option anywhere in their site, if someone can please let me know.
