Krome Studios is developing Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2 and PSP, while LucasArts Singapore is working on a DS edition.
Created using visual assets from the TV series, Republic Heroes will feature an original storyline set in the run-up to the show’s upcoming second season. It will allow players to fight as both Jedi Knights and clone troopers across 30 missions and will support co-op and multiplayer on Xbox 360 and PS3.
The DS edition will feature an “expanded storyline” that sees players take part in key events and battles from the show’s first season.
“The Clone Wars franchise has struck a chord with viewers and gamers around the world with its action-packed storyline and memorable heroes,” said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts.
“With its Jedi and clone trooper gameplay and all-new storyline, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes takes the franchise into a truly exciting and interactive direction.”
