LucasArts Top Brass Resign

Departure of president Darrell Rodriguez and other executives not expected to affect the company's development teams.

LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez has resigned his position, along with several members of his executive team.

Rodriguez - formerly COO of EA Los Angeles – had headed up Lucasfilm’s interactive game entertainment division since April 2008.

His departure will not impact the firm’s development teams, nor its publishing business outside of the top executives, according to Kotaku.

Lucasfilm's Jerry Bowerman will assume Rodriguez’s former role on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.

Earlier this week LucasArts confirmed an October 26 launch date for multiplatform release Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.
