Nintendo has confirmed “mid-year” release plans for two of Wii’s biggest titles, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is due to launch on May 23 in the US and on June 11 in the UK, while Metroid: Other M will launch June 27 in the States and during the third quarter of 2010 in the UK.
Announced at E3 last year, Galaxy 2 is the follow-up to 2007's critically acclaimed platformer, and marks the first time a second 3D Mario game has arrived in the same console generation.
Also revealed at the same event, Metroid: Other M is Team Ninja's take on the sci-fi adventure/platformer, and is described by Nintendo as “a Metroid game unlike any you’ve ever experienced before”.
