Intent on ensuring that consumers are left with a good first impression of Project Natal, Microsoft says it has adopted a cautious approach to its software release strategy for the upcoming motion sensing peripheral.
Asked if the company planned to release a slew of party games with Natal this holiday, Xbox group product manager Aaron Greenberg told Destructoid:
“We are going to be really careful in the way we think about our portfolio for Project Natal. We want the first impression to be a great one, so we are not just going to dump products because we can. We are going to be very thoughtful about what we bring to market.”
Microsoft said in January that somewhere in the region of 80 per cent of third-party publishers were at work on Natal titles.
Greenberg also predicted that Xbox 360 will “outsell the PS3 for the full year”, driven by the release of “AAA exclusive blockbusters month after month”.
