Microsoft Details Japanese Kinect Launch

Peripheral will launch in Japan on November 20 alongside a previously unannounced Dr Kawashima Brain Training title.

Kinect will launch in Japan on November 20, Microsoft has confirmed.

The Kinect accessory bundled with Kinect Adventures will cost 14,800 yen (£114 / $177). The device will also be available with the Xbox 360 4GB and Xbox 360 250GB, both packing in a copy of Kinect Adventures, for 29,800 yen (£230 / $356) and 39,800 yen (£308 / $475) respectively.

A previously unannounced Kinect Dr Kawashima Brain Training title from Namco Bandai will release in Japan on the same day for 6,279 yen (£49 / $75), while the Xbox Live Gold Family Pack will hit the country in late 2010 for 9,249 yen (£72 / $110).

While 15 Kinect games will be available in the UK at launch, Microsoft said that ten will be released in Japan by early next year. It also promised to “reveal even more new controller-free games and experiences never before possible” at the Tokyo Game Show next week.

Additionally, Microsoft announced a new high-end Kinect bundle for the UK, where an Xbox 360 250GB with Kinect and Kinect Adventures will be “available for a limited period” for £299.99 from November 10.
