Midway Newcastle Vets Form Atomhawk Design

Digital artwork and design services company established by ex-Midway Newcastle artists.

A number of former Midway Newcastle employees have established a new digital artwork and design production firm, Atomhawk Design.

The Gateshead, UK-based company specialises in the production of digital art and design in 2D, 3D and video media, for the game, film and online industries.

Atomhawk is headed up by ex-Midway Newcastle art director Cumron Ashtiani. The firm’s lead concept artists are Corlen Kruger and Pete Thompson, and Steven Pick is the lead graphic designer.

“The company is built entirely around our key goal which is to provide a world class design and digital art production service, helping our customers to visualise their ideas and to present those ideas to the world with breathtaking style and quality,” says Atomhawk.

Midway Newcastle was forced to close in July following Midway’s sale to Warner Bros. The studio was behind Vin Diesel vehicle The Wheelman, and was working on Necessary Force at the time of its closure.
