Microsoft has reduced the price of downloadable content for a number of popular Xbox 360 titles.

“For a limited time only (well, until the end of October) the Marketplace is running an ‘Extended Play Download Days’ promotion which is offering some pretty good savings on some of the more popular DLC,” writes Microsoft’s Major Nelson on his blog.

The company’s offering savings on DLC for Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Forza Motorsport 2, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Guitar Hero 3 and Beautiful Katamari.

As spotted by Kotaku, the price of the 120GB Xbox 360 hard drive has also been reduced by $30, from $179 to $149, at both EBGames and Amazon, hot on the heels of the recent US console price cuts.
